Title: Tracker gears in a on a sammy carrier problem
Post by: brlj on October 02, 2005, 07:08:02 AM
Im putting Trackick 5.12's on a sammy carrier. I assembled the carrier with the aluminum diff can that holds the spider gear pins in. When I put the carrier into the 3rd member I got the backlash to about .010 . When I spin the assembly the aluminum diffcan hits the outer edge of the pinion gear. Has anyone had problems with the diffcan hitting the pinion gear like that?

You could be missing a trick gear shim that moves the ring gear over would be my guess.

did you leave the sammy pinion in or the crown wheel,  ? sammy pinion is a big mother?
