Hi guys, is is just me or does a white tracker look way better with a black grill? I just picked up my tracker and the grill has a crack in it. im thinking about just getting another and shooting it satin black. to me zukipilot's looks really mean with the black grill but look at what else he has on that thing! its a beast...
Also anyone have any expieriences with maaco for paintwork on a tracker/kick? im looking for a straight white job, (mine is white with a new fender and barbi pink stripes! yikes!)

;D Definately ;D

F'n' A man, you are right! god that is mean.. i dunno, they just look girly with a white grill.
-
what did you use to paint the grill with? satin spraybomb? or a regular gun?
Thanks
Jason

To tell the truth, that is the plastic as delivered form Hawk as a new unpainted grill. I just bolted it on as is and liked it. So I removed it before painting the Kick and left it black.

woow, they want $98 bucks for a 94 tracker grill and $28 for a 94 sidekick grill, whats the difference in the sidekick grill?
-
it has a S emblem and the tracker has a geo emblem
I have had one of each i know they are interchangable.
-
The SideKick grill has horizonal ribs,
the GEO grill has holes similar to a
Ford P/U Truck
I liked the look of a GEO grill, but I
was going to put an S on it, till I saw
the price difference :o not worth it

Black all the way, Unless you wanna go chrome, I saw them on e-bay. Maaco does a really good job for the money, plus 5 year warrenty!

Black! I grabbed mine from a junkyard. It was on a 4 dr kick. had to cut it a bit, since some of the plastic was cut, but you can tell I am worried about looks! The orange "S" just looks pimp too I think. 8)

once you go black you'll never go back...lol( :P)
-
Zukipilot, do you remember how much you paid for your grill with shipping?
-
I agree with the black grill on a white kick, mine came in black and I just left it that way. The other one came out while I was running wide open down a logging road and I ran over it ...fun. I think I paid around 6x something when I got mine, but that was about 5 years ago I think, but I dug around a mini trucking magazine of all things that was at the body shop I was working in at the time.
My isn't nearly as mean looking as Zukipilot, but I like it.

Everything I have heard about macco is that it is cheap, and if you do the prep work before you take it, it can come out decent. Just ask to see something they have painted before you take it to them and do the sanding yourself, from my understanding they scuff it and shoot it, no body work unless you pay extra, and no sanding stuff smooth. Never used them myself though.

It's been a long time. I dont remember. I have always just called Hawk and ordered what I need because they always give you great service, quick shipping and your order is always right. It's worth the little extra you pay over the cost of a non Suzuki part from a discount house.
If you just order the grill new, it will NOT come with the S or the Geo logo. You have to re-use your old one or order another. If Hawk has a used on it should be on there though.

Guys, i really apprietiate all the help!, Toolman your kick looks cool too!, the black grill is the way to go! and i like the suzuki grill alot better then the geo.
what lift do you have in yours? i wont have the $$$ to go for a full calmini lift but im thinking a 3" body lift and 1.5" spring spacers, i want to run a 15x10" with like a 2" backspace and 235s.. do you think these would work with this lift or go with a deep dish 8"?
I want the tracker to be stable as can be since its going to be my daily driver on a 60mile each way journey to work. plus i like that really wide look, without a super tall tire, alot og guys try to cram the tallest tires without enuff lift and it just doesnt look right ya know, ya need some wheel well space there.

Thanks, but the picture is deceiving, I have several primers spots on it, have for years, but it is white primer and really not that noticeable. :D
If I ever get my 67 mustang done and out of the shop I think I might paint it, but paint doesn't make it run any better...:D

I have the Calmini 3" body lift, and spring spacers 1 3/4" maybe...I dont' remember, they were the jeep spacers that I made fit, but it gave me about 5" higher than it was to start. I have 15x8 wheels that were on it when I got it, so not sure on the backspacing, and I decided to run a 30x9.5 tire, it seemed like a good cross between bigger and not enough gearing for the highway since I use it as a daily driver, so far I have been very happy with them and how the truck runs down the highway. I just wish I could find a way to correct my speedo with out regearing the truck back down...oh well.
-
gearing is another issue why i want a nice agressive tire, but not very tall. since my tracker will be a 100% daily driver on a 60mile run each way to work. Now to find a decent tire....

I painted mine myself, skuffed it down with 400grt, and used flat black.
