5 Speed and the 2.0L
I can't find my final gear ratio anywhere
this sucks cause the local zuki dude here is like... no you already have the 5.12 you don't need anymore
wah!
-
Just looked it up and I believe we both have 4.875. The 5.12 is in the XL-7 with the V-6 and automatic brudah. With the 5.12's in our XL-7, it hits 2nd gear while your still turning out of a street!!! Love, those gears. HTH, Dave ;D

well if that's our final gear...
that's already very decent :P
that sucks, i'm going to lose tons of power when I run anything larger than a 30" tire
-
My 2002, 4 cly 2000, had 4.60 stock. Now it has 5.12 with 30" tires. Its slightly over geared from the stock set up.
-
I forgot to mention its a five speed.
-
do you think you needed to change the gearing for your setup
I haven't changed mine but i'm running 235's and I noticed a bit of power difference
but 31's i'm putting on, i'm not sure if I need to or not
-
If you have an AT Trans. 5.12's would be right about on money for 31's.
All so if you realy want to know what gearing you have just jack the rear up (both sides), shift the t-case in to N and spin a tire 1 full turn and count the number of turns the drive shaft turns

Would there be much differance in 4.60, 4.875 and 5.12 if you counted the times it turned?  ;) You blink to long and you might think you got 5.12's LOL
For real though, I've seen that 5spd 2.0l have 4.60's on some sites and 4.875 on others but all the autos have 5.12's from 99+
I'm pretty sure they are 4.60's though.
We've got pretty low gearing in there.(thats what my uncle said) He was kinda impressed that I could pretty much leave it in 5th and slow down and speed back up with out changing gears and without it bogging down too much. And he thinks it's low gearing too because at 70mph the tack was crusing at 3k rpm in 5th(he thought that was a little high for a 5spd
Just called the Chevy dealer and talked to parts. They only need the last 8 #'s in the vin to tell you but mine came up with nothing. maybe you guys will have better luck? It's worth a try.

No way - that engine will run 4,000 all day long, day-in and day-out, and never care. Don't be afraid to take it up to 5,500 when accelerating.
-
Oh I'm not scared! I regularly have it up to redline. ;D He just thought that being in 5th(overdrive) that the rpm's should be lower to get better gass milage.

with going to to 235's
at 60mph *(on the speedo)* I'm already up to 3g's

Looked at mine today. With my 225/70-15's at 60mph I'm at 2,750rpm in 5th. and at 70mph I'm at 3,250 in 5th
