Title: 1.6 not fiting

i just put a 1.6 8v  in my sami and it sits to tall  and the hood does not close  it just sits to high  in there  trail tough said to use sidekick motor mounts from a 1990  do i need a body lift or do i need to get sami mounts  plz help

I have seen this happen before even though I've never done it myself yet. Some swaps clear, some don't. Usually a 1" or higher body lift will allow the hood to close. I have also seen people cut some of the ribbing from under the hood, but I wouldn't recomend that.

hey man we just had that same problem. this weekend in my buddys sammy..... we just went and got some hockey pucks ...for now.. just so we could get the hood closed... so if that helps . yes you need to put a body lift in if you want the hood to close   good luck

I had the very same problem.  I trimmed the underside of the hood and a great zukiworld buddy of mine used his strength to tweak the hood the rest of the way.  It works and looks just fine, but a better answer would be what bewley suggested; or a body lift, or a fancy hole in the hood.
