i just put a 1.6 8v in my sami and it sits to tall and the hood does not close it just sits to high in there trail tough said to use sidekick motor mounts from a 1990 do i need a body lift or do i need to get sami mounts plz help

I have seen this happen before even though I've never done it myself yet. Some swaps clear, some don't. Usually a 1" or higher body lift will allow the hood to close. I have also seen people cut some of the ribbing from under the hood, but I wouldn't recomend that.

hey man we just had that same problem. this weekend in my buddys sammy..... we just went and got some hockey pucks ...for now.. just so we could get the hood closed... so if that helps . yes you need to put a body lift in if you want the hood to close good luck

If only someone would build a low profile crossover tube for the intake...

I had the very same problem. I trimmed the underside of the hood and a great zukiworld buddy of mine used his strength to tweak the hood the rest of the way. It works and looks just fine, but a better answer would be what bewley suggested; or a body lift, or a fancy hole in the hood.
