hmmm ...
Looks like the breathers for the tranny and tcase came undone when I did my 3" BL in the new rig ... (always forget to loosen something ya know).
I felt around and I just can't see feel where those hoses go. Anyone got a pointer on where to feel so I can get em hooked back up?
Funny thing is, I noticed some watery oil splotches as I was "adjusting" the shifter levers going fwd/rev in the shop ... note I said "watery" ... doh, wonder if that winey trans is in need of oil and not water! I'd checked and the tranny was full (but I may now know full of ...)

Mine didn't come disco'd from the tranny itself, but from the points by the distributor where they actually vent.
You could take a minute to drop the tranny and t-case, and then let us know where it was....
I don't think that helped.
I'm pretty sure that the metal tubes they slide onto lay kinda flat, instead of sticking up. Kinda like a 90 degree bend out of the top of the boxes.
??? ???You could drop the fluids and let it sit for a while empty, then take some air and blow up into it and see where the air comes out... (reverse flush, but with air...)

Sorry to threadjack, but I've got a quick question about building a snorkel. They say you have to connect the breather tubes to the snorkel from the tranny, t-case, and diffs, where do they come out at?

the front diff hose comes up near the charcoal cannister, the tranny/tcase hoses connect together and share a hose coming up behind the engine near the distributor, and the rear diff hose goes to the rear and up into the body.
you could tie the 2 front hoses together and route them to the snorkle, and the rear should be fine (if you're that drowned, the comp probably is too).

Is that the same on a samurai?

No the Samurai has little caps on the diffs. You have to pull them off and attach a hose instead.
