Hi fellas, i have been really looking into a set of interco Radial SSR tires for my tracker, anyone have any expierience with these in the snow?
where i live they dotn plow the roads until 1 in the afternoon, and i need to get to work, the tracker wont see too much offroading, its mainly a daily driver with a 3" body lift, and 15x8" 2.75 back space wheels.
Anyone have any expierience with the mickey thompson line? they also carry a 27x9.50 in a few models.

A 27" tire is pretty small. With your 3" body lift you could go to a 235-75-15 or even a 30"x9.50 tire and still be fine.
If the tracker won't see much off roading I would stay away from super swampers. the TRXus would be the only ones I would recommend for street use. but they don't have good sizes.
Go with the tried and true BFG MT's and you won't be dissapointed. As another option I have the new Cooper Discoverer STT's on mine and they rock! A little loud on the road though.

if you arent gonna be doing much off roading, i would go with the BFG all terrain, i have heard they are the best all around tire and they work awesome in the snow

BFG all terrain's work incredibly well in the snow. If no offroading, go for them...

I had a set of 29x10.5" swamper sx's and they were great on the street and in the snow(The deeper the snow, the better!). I ran them with no lift on my tracker with some minor body adjustment and some rubbing off-road, so a 3" body lift will more than cover you. Added bonus...you don't need a radio as your tires will "SING" to you at highway speeds!

don't know about the choice but i do have 29's with no lift and a 3" would fit perfect. an AT will work way better than a MT n the snow that is for sure but he is right chicks dig chuncky

cool, thanks for all the repsponse!, i want to run the short 27"s becuase i dont want to loose any gearing and i will be running 15x8" 2.5" backspace, so thats why i will probably need the 3" body lift to clear lock to lock. i want the tires to hang out a bit and give the tracker a very menacing appearence, so no one will call it a barbie jeep, hah!

I run 33x12.5 dayton timberline mt's, amazing in snow, couldnt even do donuts, it just ripped all the snow up down to clean pavements. I still run stock gearing, so with 30 inch tires you wont have any issues with gearing. thats what 4low is for.

you won't lose much gearing with 29's. with a tire narrower than 10" I would go with a 7" rim. 8" is too wide for a 9.5" wide tire. with the 3" BL you won't need the 2.5" BS either. I had a 2.5" sus lift and 30" tires on 7" rims with 3.5" BS and had no rubbing.

Choose your favorite mud tire and have them siped. I won't buy AT's anymore after I discovered siping mud terrains. Best of both worlds.
I agree, the TrXus MT's are a kick ass tire but they need sizes smaller than 31's. I have the 255/85R16's (33x10.5R16) on my Ranger and they're probably the best all around truck tires I've ever had. If they made them in a smaller size they'd be on the Grand Vitara in a heart beat!

Agreed. All my friends with toyota's run these and they are incredible, My neighbour also plows snow with them and says they're the cats a$$. MT's suck on ice and loose snow. An 8" rim is a little wide for what your wanting to do, in snow, the more narrow your tires/rims, the better. If it were me, I'd use sammi rims and a 235/75(29") BFG AT TA. The sammi rims are .5" less backspacing over the tracker rims, and they're still 5.5". BTW- I'm sure large wheel width/extra weight will lower tq too.
