yeah, i got that far last fall, put it back together and had a shop do it. I hear if you get a parts tracker, save the steering knuckle, and just change the whole thing. I guess I'm not much help after all.

I'm not sure what the tool would be on a kick, but on my big Ford F250 4x4 all I needed was the 'special' socket that attatched to the wrench, all it really was was a large diameter pipe with 4 square studs welded inside it. The nut that holds the bearings in place is circular with 4 notches in the rim. I've never had to take the bearings out in my sammy so I don't know how different it is. For my ford, the socket cost me about $12.

All you need is a 3 lbs hammer and a long punch ;)

Couldn't find the Suzuki socket, got the Ford socket and "modified" it. Pretty much hacked 2 of the teeth off and whacked it with a sledgehammer untill the remaining 2 teeth hit fit in the holes. Makes it rough to use with hand tools, it just slips off, had to use the impact wrench.
