Anyone have any idea what the heck could be going on here? did i get the right sensor?

Code 15 = Water temperature Sensor High Temperature.

You will get this if the sensor is shorted to ground. You may have a wiring problem.

check the resistance of both wires in the circuit from the sensor to the ecm to determine if it has ashort in the wiring

Rhinoman, thanks for the picture!, the WTS is the part i changed, i guess i will have to check the wiring!,   Does anyone know what the reading should be on this sensor to test it? mine old one might still be good.

 thanks!

I have a table that shows the temps and
readings, this sensor varies by temp

I'll have to look for it

Here is a chart I generated of the resistance characteristics. You'll need to save it somewhere and then open it to get full size.
