Title: ADM/JDM Suzuki differences?
Post by: ozzy619 on October 28, 2005, 10:35:48 AM
Alirighty
I'm new to Suzuki's. I used to build jeeps But I now reside in Okinawa Japan were I thought I could hide from the offroad gods but it was in vain.  So I picked up a Little Turbo Diesel Jimney(samurai) To start building.  The engine is a 660cc Turbo Diesel which I know is not state side but my main qeustion is about the tranny and T-case are they the same in both markets? If not what is the model #'s for the State side Drivelines?  I'd like to do a Superlow T-case But don't know If I have to order a whole one or just the kit(which will be alot easier on my little wallet)

I had a 660 turbo but it is petrol. The transmission and transfer is different from samurai. The transfer had a brake drum but I believe you can put in the super low gears into the transfer.
