whats the easiest way to tell gear ratio in the front end? might be a dumb question but, I think i gernaded my r/p on my sammy but i didnt build this thing and cant get a hold of the guy who did. I talk to a friend who knows the guy he said he thought they were 5 somethings. well the (something) part of that talk didnt help me out at all for all i know there stock gears. Maybe this will help in two wheel drive first gear real poochie off the line with 33s or is that possible even with 5 somethings? any suggestions would help thanks

jack up the rear end,get some chalk and mark the inside of both tires if doing this alone, put jack stands under it and put a mark on the drive shaft, turn both tires one revolution the same direction while counting the number of turns of the drive shaft, 5.12 turns = 5.12 gears and so on.

so mark the wheel and the drive shaft and then turn the wheel once how do you get the five is that the number of turns the drive shaft will spin. and how dose the .12 come in?

YA ,your counting how many times the drive shaft turns so five turns and a little bit would be 5.12 gears five and a lot of almost another turn would be like a 5.83, four turns and a little over a half a turn more would be 4.62 gears and so on.
