hey guys i'm new to the forum and just recently found you guys i just bought a 88 sammy for 100 bucks but first it won't even turn over any thoughts. thanks

Starter? Battery Charged? Starter Relay?  ??? ???

this is with jumper cables on and i dont even get any dash lights i have checked all the fuses but you turn the key and nothing

Get a good battery, clean the cable ends
so they are  bright, same for the battery,
then try it. If you still get nothing you need
to get to the other end of the cables, check
the big fuses close to the battery and make
sure the starter is installed, this can be where
a miswired trucklet is getting it's 12V + from.

You should have a big cable going to the starter
and another going to the engine block, and also
you should have two smaller, like 10 guage wires
going to the big fuses and one attached to the body

Check, fix as needed and report back with your findings
