Hey everyone. I am new to the zuki world. However, i need to replace the motor in my sami. I have looked into the common swaps...the 1.6, the vw 1.6 diesel, and the vortec v6. I know that in the Toyota trucks a common swap is the buick V6 due to its small size but great power gains. i am curious to if anyone knows about this swap into our trucklets. I have tried search and found nothing.

Hey thanks, that at least shows me that it has been done before. do you know of how much work is involved in it or anything along that line? I am curious as to wether the frame needs to be widened, strengthened, etc. Do you need to cut/move the floor board to fit tranny? thanks again for the help so far.

I dont know anything about it. you might want to give that guy a call and ask him a few questions.

A friend of mine did it like ten years ago,,,,,,,,,Pretty sweet. He said it did wheelies but Iv never seen it run. He moved it down to West Palm right after doing it. I know he had a problem with the steering shaft. But I think he used stock headers, And it sat on a bit of an angle.
I was never a fan of his "friends" fabin skills. He had none.
No offence to anybody. ;) He just wasn't much of a friend, and fronted like he did all the work.

Iv bin thinkin of building a chopped, dropped, bagged, two wheel twin turbo'd  4.3 tin top. BUT the steering is an issue with a turbo and down pipe right there. Custom headers no doubt!! But I'll do it some how.
Hopefully before you. ;) ;D
But,,,,,, I should probably finish putting the T3 in my current rig. ::)
