Title: Steering angle correction for Sidekick.
Post by: barcus on November 11, 2005, 01:30:47 AM
I think the present angle is ugly and am thinking of doing a tie rod flip. Someone told me that tie rod flip will only worsen my steering control. Any comments?

HOLY MOLY!

is that toyota IFS gear int he front? looks pretty good. any more pics?

as with the tie rods, when you flip them over, the geometry is changed, and the tie rods are no longer moving in the same arc/radius as the lower arms. result, bad handling, and bump steer. (i think)

anyway, u got a cool Vit.

I would flip them, send them to sky's and have them put some fj80 tre's on there, you have to go bigger to flip them.

I was looking at doing something similar and I think you can swap the links left<->right and the slight "bend" they have will reverse and could help get the geometry closer to correct.
