Post by: bus_driver on November 12, 2005, 12:27:00 AM
I have a shistling sound coming from the front left side it only happens when accelerating and it stops if i brake or turn .....thinking wheel bearing, i have manual locking hubs and the only question is " is the bearing pressed or is it held on by a nut or soemthing......

sounds like your brake pads are rubbing manly the inside one
kicks have one stationary pad and one pad controlled by the piston when it actives it squeezes the two together and the whole caliper floats

try taking it apart and cleaning everything up and get new anti rattle plates and while its up in the air try moving the wheel for bearing play
