Title: rear tube bumper ideas

I've seen the Calmini style rear bumper - anyone fab'd up their own like this - pics or drawings please?

yes, i did.  it is 1" el conduit which is stronger than you would think.  i welded corner braces at all the Ts out of 1/8 steel bar.  i now carry my spare tire on the top with no problems.  $30 or so for a pipe bender and about $40 for pipe and bar.  not bad. 8)

and TN, thanks for auto zone fuel pump link, thats ganna help a lot ;)

Did you make a skid plate out of aluminum diamond-plate?  IF yes, how has it held up?

i will see what i can do about posting some more pics sometime soon.  i am really bad about that since my connection speed out here in BFE is 28.8.   but mostly i just drilled into the body and used stainless bolts with the biggest fender washers i could find and lots of  silicon sealant.  the center and rear are similar to Calminis but the front is just stainless sheet metal screws.  i will see about those pix....  glad you like ;D

 yes, and really well.  but i just got in my steering stabilizer from Calmini and i think i am going to have to redo the skid :'(
