it's nice that they're back in stock, but i've heard they have a helluva lot of problems getting them out of stock and to customers without issues...

I am for one very happy to hear that they *might* actually become an option again ...

I know one rig that would be very happy to get the 5.83's (along with locks front and rear ... that would let me then concentrate on a "star" like modification (with new axles tho) ...

is there any truth to this ?

i don't know why calmini didn't come onto this board and tell us.
if it is true that's the best news i've heard in a while. next year is going to be the year of gears for me, and 5.83 r&p would really top it off.

Aleksey-

I have your email and have entered in the order. I will have freight
quotes on the order for you first thing in the morning.  The SK5036 are good
in stock and we have begun production of the SK5038 12-bolts, however they
will not be available until late January.  I will keep you updated as to the
status of this parts re-release.  Once I have the finalized cost for the
shipping on the top (around 7:00 am, my time) I will fax you the two orders
for your approval.

Best Regards

aleksey if what you say is true, and indeed true. then i owe you an apology.

i did call calmini and talked to someone in customer service, who said they had no idea of your email. he also said that the gears weren't going into to production, and that they didn't know even if they were going to be brought back.

we'll have to wait and see what happens at the end of january.

ps: it would be nice if someone else here could make a call to calmini to see what they tell them.

I saw a set on ebay. Spidertrax was actually the auctioneer.

The gears are manufactured by Richmond, or at least they used to be.

Oops my bad they are actually samurai gears.

But you couldn't you run an early model sidekick carrier with these.  I could of swore I had a 10 bolt carrier in my 89 kick.

later

The Samurai R&P only fit the front of a Track/Kick. The rear track/Kick R&P is a much bigger diameter

It was a 10 bolt but a 7.5 inch ring gear. All rear trackicks are 7.5 inch. Some are 12 bolt, some 10 but all &.5 inch. The 10 bolt calmini sells is for the 7 inch.
