front end already with 1-1/4" spacer from rocky road. present condition have around 2.5" more downstroke.
am thinking of adding another .5" of spacer lift the front end. is this advisable? how much is the ideal downstroke? i dont want to bottom out my front end.
thanks.

The rear looks high. Do you also have a spacer in the rear? I usually run with about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of down travel at the strut shaft. I would add spacing to the front coils till I achive that...Im not saying thats right, just the way I prefer.

If you have the track/kick spacers from RRO, I hate to break this to you, but they are only barely 1" tall. Mine measured 7/8" thick and when I emailed RRO about it, I was told that the spacers provide 1-1/8" of lift, not that the spacers are 1-1/8" thick ::) ...

Get some better stronger springs. Spacers make the springs compress more and make them wear out quicker. OME makes some good ones for $65 each and you could get them a few levels of firmness, and that would adjust your height also.

I TOTALLY agree ...
"wider is better", but you need beefier springs ...
crikey can get hook you up with some good OME stuff that will help on the length and spring rate you now need.

Wow, when I did mine I noticed a little sag but it also looked like it transfered some weight to the back wheels (the rear suspension seemed compressed about 1"). I am going to install 1" spacers in the front to level it out.

I was running the 0.75" spacers front and rear. After the Hagen Widening I removed the rear spacer and went to a 1.5" spacer up front and my trucks is sitting almost perfectly level. I got the 1.5 in spacer from Sky's Offroad Designs. Next step is to find a coil spring with a bit higher rate so I am not compressing it so much. Maybe an OME heavy duty vitara lift spring or something.

you rock, Barcus!

I would think that the OME springs will be far too short. They are only intended for a 1.5" lift and aren't designed to work with the Calmini control arms.

Hello,
I have 1.5" Sky spacers and done the Hagen mod,Didn't see much difference??? I even have a 8000 lb winch.....Are you using Calmini arms???? I have stock arms.
