Title: Sami Price ( bought and drove home)
Post by: tracker8wr on March 13, 2005, 05:21:05 AM
what is a good price for a sami with a bad carb. engine turns and trys to fire but sputters out, good fuel flow, good spark, turns over easy, brakes work, interior ok, bad top, bad tires, clear title, and no lift.

5 dollars more than your offering ;D ;D ;D

but seriously it depends on your goals. if you want it for parts then it is worth $200 to $500. if you are buying it for a driver or project it is probably worth anywhere between $400 t0 $1000. sounds like gettin it running will be on problem. what it comes down to is .... use, condition and WHAT IT IS WORTH TO YOU. dont pay a penny more or the only person that is getting screwed is you, BY yourself. I was taught that by a very wise old man, my father. my .02 cents

i offered the guy $100 after he agreed i took my screw driver shuved it down the throat of the carb to unstick the choke and fired it up. put 2 cans of fix a flat in 2 tires and aired all four of them up. while the sami idealed. i drove it 15 miles to the house with 2 spares on board just in case. runns great putting on a 2" body tomarrow and a spring over tuesday. i have a set of 31x13.50x15 tsl sx i use to run on my tracker i will mount. on a set of wagon wheels. oh there was a wiered clicking noise coming from the rear so when i got home i pulled the axles and the third wow a lockrite i thought it was driving funny. i say that i made a good buy. next weekend going wheeling with my wife she says finally i get to show u how to drive a tracker.

Must be nice, we got our Sami free but it doesn't run so it will cost a little to get it going. It's always nice to hear when someone gets a good deal on a vehicle.

FWIW: For tire fitment you wouldn't need the body lift with the SPOA to fit those 31 inchers... Just FYI to save you some $$$ & Time.

I have those same tires on 10 inch rims with 2 inch back spaceing, all i have is a spring over and they rubed the leafs with stock rims and then they rubed the fender with my new ones, so i just cut my fenders to make them fit
