I dunno, never had a newer Track/Kick.
I think you might be able to use some
of the older model parts, but you need
to expect some problems that need working
out also.

One of the problems with the R and P steering system
is the lack of a center link, pitman and idler arm, which
give you a little more  flexability in the suspension dept.

Without the extra parts, you will get some serious bump
steer, there might be some work arounds, but I don't know
of any off hand, is there enough room to fit the older style
worm gear box and steering gear under a 99 track/Kick ?
it might be the only work around

you never had a never one and i have one and yet your guess would be better the mine.. im trying to find a cheap suspension like so far the only think i found cheap enuff to get to canada is one from BDS but its for the older vits...i seen some where that someone used it on there newer vit but cant find it any more .. but i do remember then changing it abit... so im still left wondering... i mean to look at the springs and shox in the 2 models they look i dentical which leads me to believe that just changing to a long spring and shox would do it.. and also ive hear ppl with the older vits using the shox and springs off the newer GV for a lil extra lift which once again lead me to believe it will work.

The only problem I have heard about with the Rack&Pinion steering is for body lifts.  If you are looking for a cheaper lift you might try coil spacers.  One of the board members is making kits for the  GV.  http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=8494.0

The newer type springs are used on the older shape trucks to give a 2" (roughly) lift. That implies that a 2" lift kit for an old shape truck wouldn't give you any lift at all. Kits over 2" are either spacers on top of springs or a more complete kit like the Calmini 3". If you want a cheap lift then I think you are limited to spacers or maybe j**p or Ford springs? I remember a thread about longer springs ages ago. You might find it with a search if you go back a year or two.
