r u talking about a sammy or trac/kick axle?

are you thinking of the vent hose?

They never made a cable locker for the sammy or trac/kick

They do make a ARB air locker that has a hose running to it.

other than the parking brake or brake lines i can't think of anything.

speed sesor wire is on the tranny or t-case on samis and kicks. don't know does it feed int the diff or just mounted on it and running some where else.

this was on a kick axle where the rear shaft enters the housing. directly above the shaft there is a bracket and cable running into it and into the diff.....the other end runs up into the body .....but it is not the breather  ?????

I've seen this once before on a trade in at the dealership I didn't look to cloesly but I thought it might have been some sort of driveshaft disconnect as it had all the flat towing hardware on it. the truck was a real pile and the dealership had too much money into it so like I said I really didn't look to cloesly at it :-/

Don't bother getting one they aren't strong enough to be used off-road  :( But if you are able to modify it it can be made stronger... ;)

I've read different opinions of how Strong they are and if they are suitable to be used as a off road locker, some say yes and others disagree.  Personally I'm an ARB boy  ;) and can't ever see that changing but I still be interested in having a look at one just for the sake of it, after all it's zook related so it's got to be better than work related stuff  ;D

didnt he say it was a kick axle, My money is on a Anti locking brake sensor,

When you take it out it will have an extra plate bolted in with the crown wheel with lots of teeth,

Only reason I know is I took one out of a tracker over here and it had that setup.

If it comes out of the housing, and not
the 3rd member, it's the breather, they
are vented into the body on a SideKick

My 90 doesn't have anything like that, but my 93 Tracker has 2 electric wires going to a funky bracket around the rear axle's pinion snout... Probably a sensor of some kind...

hey digger do you have abs?

I went to a friend at the GM dealership I use to work at and he said it was the ABS pickup

he is the drive line specialist and knows a  lot more than me .....said that he has seen it on some camaro's and older ford trucks

so there we go no locker for me

i am swearing a lot now
