Has anyone with an OBD1 16V sidekick (I have a 1993 model) sucessfully cleared the code 51 from their system? I know we talked about all this crap 3-4 months ago, but it's been brought back up again.
I know the usual answer is clean the EGR and it's passages (including the exhaust manifold section of the passage), and all should be good, but in my case, that didn't work.
My valve works fine, but i'm figuring now that it's a sensor or electronic component of some time.
So what i want to find out is if YOU did these same things and had similar results, or if you swapped out parts for new parts and that solved your problem, or what you did to get around the problem.
What's the deal with the exhaust temp sensor? Where is it and where do you get one from?

e.t.s. is that not your o2 sensor located on your exhaust manifold? just follow the wire. ;D
-
No, the o2 sensor is just for oxygen and gas levels, not temperature.
I found out it's the thing screwed into the actual egr valve. I'm going to pull it and check it out (sometime soon).

ok thats the one for nox, the egr lowers the combustion chamber temps by 6 to 14 percent, it must be to regulate the percentages of cooling. sorry ;D
