I have a 91 geo tracker 2wd manual trans. I know its NOT a suzuki officially but I think you all might be able to help. My clutch made a poping sound and dropped to the floor the other day when it was 2 degrees outside. I looked under the dash this morning and found the problem. The metal piece that attaches to the clutch cable stripped out and cracked. I need a new on. Unfortunately. I have no idea what this is called. Can anyone help?
Thanks
Bill

Sounds like the end of the cable has broken off, if that's the case and it's not the pedal end that holds the cable.
I would replace the clutch cable.
I picked up a spare cable from the junk yard in Vegas, we have what you call (pick a parts)
where you do it yourself removals, it costs me 5 bucks each. ( 60 bucks at the dealer)
I snagged a spare throttle cable also.
Just in case either broke on the trail.
:D
I can't take the cold, so I think I would have broke too.

I have the piece off the car. It is definately the metal bracket. I just need to know what its called so I can order a new one.

One of these items?
Oh, and we consider Geo Trackers and Sidekick owners to be our brethern! Heck, some of us own both kinds - me included. This is also the case on just about every other Suzuki forum, too. Just make sure that you identify your type and year of vehicle so we don't go off on a tangent assuming what you have.
