Hey i have a 88 samurai and it currently has a 4 inch left and 31s locked front n rear and i am not going to be doing some extensive modifications such as a new 8 inch coil over lift from rocky road and then i am going to be putting a v8 or a v6 (chevy) in it and i am going to need some help on changing the axles. . . . i want something that can take the abuse of the trail, im currently just a trail rider but i am going to get into some rockcrawling. So what would be the best and easiest axle conversion to do on this? Thanks for your help!

the 2 most commome axle swaps are either Waggy 44 or Toy.. Large debate on which is stronger but they bith do the job. waggys can be done by either outboarding springs or some have ground down the cast to set the axle perch. Toys are alittle more direct move the rear purches in 1" each side and open up the center hole in the stock 3/8" to the inside for the front. Check out www.azrockcrawler.com for a real good writeup on the swap and parts list. Seeing how you are going to do the RRO coil kit get the one for toy axle and you are set.
