Title: will 31's fit w/ 2in. lift on 87 sammy ?

I have an 87 sammy and wondering if 31's would clear with 2 inch shackle reverse lift ? i have the front bumper  off and the side tubes cut off.

shouled be able to make the tyres fit.
may need to get the hammer out so it dose not hit
at full flex

Hi Midzuki,

31's will fit but they will hit on the wheel well unless you do the following:

Put extended bump stops on to limit up travel or maybe a 2" body lift. You will have to work out the best wheel offset too. And like SJ416 said - maybe a little guard "adjustment" ;)
I believe that the 2" reverse shackle kit will make wheel rub even worse because the wheel now moves backwards and not forwards like a standard setup - they are a really good kit though so do not be put off by a little extra work to get things to fit.

I have done it on a SJ413 that had only a 2" lift but I had to run the right wheel offset and the tyres still rubbed - just.

Thanks i forgot to mention that i also have a 1 inch body lift also. What back spaced wheels would you recommend. and i am not afraid of a sawzall.
