Title: Exhaust question

Hi everybody, I'm in the process of replacing the muffler and tailpipe on my Samurai. Does anyone know how much clearance there should be between the tailpipe and rear axle?  Thanks.

Would someone be kind enough to look under their Samurai and measure or guestimate the distance between the tail pipe and rear axle? Maybe take a picture? Thanks.

Enough clearance so that it doesn't hit with suspension movement. I'm not sure exactly what you're asking about but if rattling and hitting are your concern, figure out what the suspension does and where that places the axle. add about an inch of distance and there you go!
