Title: Clutch advice for a 98 Sierra with a G16 Vitara engine
Post by: Dellanator on March 02, 2018, 04:19:55 AM
Hey all

Im just about to replace a gearbox on my 89 Sierra. Was thinking that while its out, I might as well do the clutch while Im at it.

Ive got a generous mechanic friend whos helping as im a bit of a mechanical dunce.

Shes got a Vitara G16 1.6 litre in her, and I was just wondering if anyone knew if that means I need to buy Vitara clutch kit or will it be a Sierra one?

Cheers in advance for any help, apologies if its an obvious/ stupid question!

I think you can order the Vitara clutch kit.  I would recommend the Low Range Off Road stage 2 kit.  I have it in my Sidekick, and I have no complaints.
