I've seen the silver moulding on the earlier model Zuks before.  Never on a Geo though.  I haven't seen very many "jlx"s, just "jx", so maybe the "L" is due to all those luxuries!   There were many variations produced other than the stock factory packages.

the power option are cool but it shouldn't be a deciding factor in choosing. power windows are a better option for a 4dr model.

I have a 4 door '91 jlx. Make sure the windows work and the doors locks aren't sticky mine are sticky when its cold.

Check for rust behind those nice silver rocker moldings!

Both of my 95 4-doors were JLX's.  It's nice to have the power windows and locks (especially if you don't have a/c), and the PADDED headrests are nice, but I wouldn't make it a determining factor.

Wow, its been a while since I last posted. Anyway, I have a 4d jlx and its a 91. Fully loaded is great. I have the power locks and windows, a/c, and all the trim that makes it a jlx. I would take a fully loaded '91 2d anytime! I actually had a chance to buy one before winter, but I was fairly poor then and could'nt round up the 1500 canadian. Yes, the power junk can freeze up and sometimes I have a phantom short somewhere and the locks go all exorsist on me and go up and down. Ventshades stopped water from trickling in, so no more frozen power windows either. Every rig that I have watched people pull off the molding has rust, but if its really bad, it could be an eye sore. My molding is still on, and I don't think I'll take it off either. Better to see nice dark trim than diseased metal. If the price is right I'd go for it!

One more thing to think about though... The 92s are the year they started putting out the 16-v mfi's and the gearing changed a bit to as I recall. Hope this helps a little!
