Vitara/sidekick running problem...
« on: May 31, 2006, 04:53:09 AM »
I have a 93 Vitara/Sidekick which is only running for about 40 mins and it just loses revs and dies. No splits or splats just dies... try restarting and all you are doing is turning the car over it does not start unless you leave it for about 30 mins.... car does not get hot, fuel pump was replaced and it fixed the problem for about 600 kames. And back to the same old problem...

Peoples thoughts.....

Thanks James
Lets get wild and show the big  toys how to do it suzuki style.

Sounds like something electrical is getting hot
and causing the shutdown. Relays to the fuel
pump, or perhaps the main relay could be overheating

The other thought I had was the ignitor,  if so equiped
might get hot and stop sparking, or your ECU is getting
warmed up and a bad solder joint might stop making contact

Look into the spark first, them fuel, determin what is stopping
the engine, and go from there.
