Update on 4 door front brake swap
« on: July 12, 2006, 02:38:58 PM »
Got all ofe the parts and it all bolted up in less then 2 hours and what a differance stops on a dime.  When i did a search on the subject and there was some questions abot size diff on the calipers the 2 door the piston was 1 3/4 in and the 4 door was 2 1/8 (give or take a bit it was pouring i was soaked) the whole caliper was a lot bigger and stronger looking and the vented rotor is nice as well.  the one thing was the backing plate I did not have to trim or bend at all Is that the norm or will there be a problem later on. The pics of the calipers are here. Thank you every one for yor help Chris.

Nice, did you buy the loaded calipers?? How much were they? What did you pay for the rotors?

I got the calipers from a you pull it $10 ea. Loaded the pads were like new. The rotors were $45 ea at autozone but they beat the price of advanced auto at $19.99 ea and with a couple of returns i paid $9.09 for the 2 at under $30 and 2 hours work (no trimming the backing plate) cant beat it thanks for all the info and help chris..
