homemade tops?

has anyone ever made one? pics would graetly be apprciated. the two i seen and liekd were take the soft top and cut the sides off and on car domain someone used a piece of plywood and put vinal over it. with my sterio stuff i ike that because it would be harder to take things. any other onesppeople have done? or even if the guy is on the site how did you fasten it down? heres a pic

Here is the safari top option.  It does not keep the rear dry though so it might not be a good option for speakers.
