Did they make a 2dr that has a 16 valve? Was it only a sidekick or was there a geo also?

My 96 2 door is 16v it's a Geo

I think you could get Geo's with 16 valves from 95 up until the bigger motor took over

95 is when the 16 valve became standard in the Geo 2doors, maybe the Sidekicks too.  I've heard of earlier 2dr models with 16valve, but they seem to be the exception.

I have seen and heard of 92-94 geos with the 16 valve, but they are not as common. I think when the 16 valve was introduced, it was an option in geos.
Runnin' it stock with 225/75R15s and an unmodified 8valve TBI motor (I need a doug thoroley header and a cam) (more power) (1.6 liters of madness) (vroom + sewing machine sounds)

From What I've read, the 16v was introduced into the 2dr's in '94 in small numbers for California emissions; then more common in '95 along with a few other changes such as the soft top re-design.

I believe the 16V started in 95 and is the same all the way through 98 in either Suzuki Sidekick, Geo Tracker or Chev Tracker.  In 98 the Geo Tracker became the Chevy Tracker.  Same car, made in the same place, same parts, just Chevrolet label and badging.

my 98 soft top 2 door looks just like the 97.  98 is a 16V 1.6L engine.
