New product- Gastank skid for track/kicks/x-90's
« on: August 07, 2006, 07:30:36 AM »
I got some time to install my new Gas tank Skidplate from Sean at aftermarket4x4 this weekend.   It is a laser cut and machine bent work of art.   I installed it in under an hour (and that counts  pulling my tow bar off so I could get to the tank mounts )

It came in a large carboard box dropped off by fedex ground, with no damage to it or the box.
It is the perfect addition to my X-90 project. ( Mini Weasel...  It is setup with a 2" calmini lift and 235 all terrain  tires. )

I will have some pics up in a few days(I dropped the film off last night)  and will do an install webpage.

It Bolted right up in place and looks great!   I used some vice grips to hold the tank in place so I didn't have to support the full gas tank,  and was able to start two of the bolts and then release the other vise grip and tighten one side up then pop the others and put the remaining bolts in.

it was a quick and easy install and now I don't have to worry that I will dent my gas tank.  It also matches my Aftermarket 4x4 front skid plate I have had on since the spring.    ;D

It will also bolt right onto trackers and sidekicks.

here is one of Seans pics of it.
