Sky's 2" B/L
« on: January 13, 2005, 02:51:03 PM »
Well I bought the lift and was looking over the writeup on the front page. I noticed that they glued the spacers at the rearward perch. My directions say to glue them between the 2 and 3 mounts. Can somebody clear this up? :-/ Personally I think that both points should be extended.

I tossed my rubber mid-way
body mounts, but I didn't think
they were doing much  ::)

I am running an Old (hand made) Sky 2" sammy body lift on the 4dr.  I just used the bolt on blocks, other points are on their own, (View was not worth the climb).   If it causes issues than I'll build the next one different, SO far no problems.

I did the Sky lift too and I am happy with it.  I agree a second set of those blocks would come in handy so you dont have to choose where to put them. I put mine in the back too like the pictures. I wasn't going to do it at all but I couldn't just throw them away. I agree with wild I dont think the mid ways do much. I mean on the stock set up there is no bolts there anyhow.

I lengthened my T-case shifter too. It's pretty easy to do as well.

I have the RRO 2" bl, and its the same way too.  I just cut up a set of 2" steel square tubeing to make an extra set of blocks.  Why can't both companys just include this in their kit  ???
I couldn't get the glue that they said to use, so I just used some kind of Epoxy to hold the blocks in place.   Its been 2yrs and they're still in place.  Even if they do fall out it I don't think that they would cause any immediate  danger.  But, if you're really worried about this I guess you could change those blocks to steel tubing and have them welded to the frame or body..
