i was wondering if there was an easy way to change the the water pump and timing belt? or do i have to take off the plastic cover over hte timing belt? if i have to take that off, how  do i get the fly wheel is it? off. the one in the middle of the that plastic casing. i searched and couldn't find anything. also anythign else i can chnage while i'm in the tear it apart mood hahhahah. anything that will save me form getting my amazing 18 MPG lol ;)thax alot

Yes, you will have to take the plastic cover off. While you replace the timing belt, I would highly recommend replacing the water pump because it is the same amount of work in terms of taking stuff apart. I took my radiator and my grille off to get some more room to work on things and see what you're doing. You might want to pick  up a Haynes manual before you go for this because by the way you typed your message, it sounds like you haven't got a clue.

Several things to remember when changing the timing belt:

1. DO NOT REMOVE THE CENTER CRANKSHAFT BOLT IN ORDER TO TAKE THE CRANKSHAFT BELT PULLEY!  There are 4 smaller bolts (5 for a TracKick) that attach the belt pulley to the crankshaft timing belt pulley.  Although they may be a bit harder to get to - you should remove the radiator shroud anyway - removing the smaller bolts instead of trying to remove that big honkin' center bolt will save you a potential world of hurt if you break that bolt or don't tighten it down properly on re-assembly.

2. Use the Samurai Factory Service Manual (FSM) instructions for this task.  The Haynes manual is poorly written for this task and tends to lead the noobie mechanic astray. (See point 1, above)   >:(  Page 3-51 is roughly where the Timing belt instructions are.  PDF-format versions of various early model year FSMs can be found on several Zukin' sites.  Ack's FAQ (link in signature below) is a good starting point for your search.  ;)

Hope this helps!
