Where is the Horn Relay located? - Samurai
« on: January 05, 2007, 05:27:00 AM »
My horn doesnt work. I checked out the wiring diagram and see what wires do what and the colors. I see on that diagram that there is a horn relay which seems to be my problem based on what I could do with a test light.
The problem is

 ??? ??? I cant find it ??? ???

I appears that it is under the dash somewhere as  the grn/white coming from the horn goes through the firewall, but where??

Thanks

Americas Oil problem is simple. We just can't seem to check our oil.
The oil is in Texas and Alaska .... The DIP STICKS are in Washington!

Since no one on this board knows where the horn relay is located on a Sammi, I guess I will tell you ..... so you can impress your friends with this bit of worthless knowledge (unless your horn doesnt work, then it is very worthwile)

It is located under the dash right near the dash light dimmer. It is heald to the back side of the dash with one screw. It is a little black relay with 4 wires.
2 white ones are hot (one for the relay and one for the horn) the wire to the steering wheel button is Blu/Grn and the wire that goes out to the horn is Wht/Grn.

I cut the plug off the end and wired in a standard Bosch headlight relay. (The sam ones that come with driving light kits.

Horn Blows ..... but not the driver ;D
