Finally, after 6 months, and sooo many new parts my sidekick is running and on the road! ;D  i only paid $300 for it, but had to put $2200 into it. the guy i bought it off of said "it only needs a tune up"  ::) um yeah if a tune up consisted of a new motor, brand new gas tank, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump sending unit, new fuel gauge sending unit, new fuel line from tank to filter, rear brake lines, all interior fuses, new gas tank filler with cap, softtop (it had no top at all), then yeah all it needed was a tune up. ::)

Hey, that's not bad!  I paid just under 3 grand for mine, drove it home 800 miles, then poured about another 12 grand into it!  If it had been a Jeep, I would have spent 30 grand for the same level of performance.

i think he was using it as a parts car for his other sidekick, so i assume it has been sitting for 3 years or so. it still needs more work but at least i can drive it. as soon as everything is fixed i can put the body lift on and some 31s down the road.

I mustve gotten lucky with mine. I paid $600 for the tracker, which was currently registered and perfectly driveable(except for the blown head gasket/cracked head) and had 124,000 on it. It was also taken care of and covered up when it was parked(glossy paint, no sun damage). I put a new motor in it($650) and other random parts(about $350) So far, I am about $1,500 into it(including buying it) ;D
Runnin' it stock with 225/75R15s and an unmodified 8valve TBI motor (I need a doug thoroley header and a cam) (more power) (1.6 liters of madness) (vroom + sewing machine sounds)
