96 tracker AC Vent Removal?
« on: January 18, 2007, 07:29:11 AM »
Does anyone know how to remove the AC vents that are beside the doors (not the defrost vents) on a 96 tracker? I have attemted this and chipped the frame around one. I'm afraid if I continue I will completely break it. Thanks

if they are the same as a 93 then they screw in from the back side. I think if you pop out the speaker and reach up in there you will feal one screw. Unscrew it and then you can pull the vent out towards you. And if you break one I have a set for sale   ;D  if they are the same and I believe they are.

P.S. I took them out after I pulled the dash off. But I do not put them back together just part them out.

I don't know if the vents are the same or not, but In the 96 the speaker is up on the top of the dash next to the windshield in a different spot from the 94 down.

Okay didn't know that but you may still be looking at it being screwed in from the back.
