O.k. I bought a weber 32 36 for my son's 87 honda accord. Worst case I stick it on my Samurai. I bought it cheap. The honda factory carb had a few issues. Someone decided to take the factory carb and pull some of the linkage off + a few components I think.
Is there a file I can download that shows a weber rebuild so I can see what I'm in for?
I have never rebuilt a carb before and wonder if this would be a good starter one. I don't want to wreck it. Do the rebuild kits come with good directions and do you need any special tools? Also, Do I buy the full kit with the float? I have a top or two with new brass floats that might work but I don't know. I also have the electric solex choke but don't know how to adjust it if I swap it over.
I was also thinking of just slapping it on there at the cost of a gasket or two and seeing how it runs. Maybe spray some carb spray to check for vacuum links. I will ask the guy how long it was stored.
What do you think?
-Adam. Oh and I checked the forum but I couldn't find instructions for doing this but I'm kind of crappy at looking stuff up.
