1992 Side Kick
« on: May 15, 2007, 01:07:39 PM »
I have a couple of Tin Tops and now I have a chance to purchase a 1992 Hard Top Automatic w/ 135000 miles on it.  They want $2,900.  It has some rust, but over all not bad for Upstate NY.  What are the dis/advantage of the auto.  I like the hard top because of the winters around here.  What else can anyone tell me about the Side Kick as my knowledge is with the Sammie's.  Thanks
88.5 Tin Top and never will be done with it.

I have a 1991 4 door Sidekick with an automatic tranny, and I love it.It handles well on and off road, even in stock form, and averages27-28 mpg.It has plenty of power with the 1.6 and lots of room for a smaller car.not to mention power everything, which is allways good.Parts have been very affordable, and it is very easy to work on.Even wheel bearings, seals, brakes, and axels on the front were done fairly quickly and easily.I highly reccomend the little boogers.
In my opinion the price is a tad high, but I live in Kentucky, and the market is completely different here.

Same thought on the price, but Ohio economy not much different than Kentucky.

How you doing?  I was wondering if you were still on this board.  My whole gang here is doing great in Okinawa.  I have an 94 Escudo (Sidekick) 5 spd manual and I love it.  I am waiting on a body lift to arrive and I will be putting 31's on it.  Tell Terry I said hi.
Take care,
94 Escudo, 1.6 ltr 16v, 1.5" spacer lift, 31's

I thought the price is high.  Maybe around $2100???

Brace--Terry is off to Germany and I retire next month....finally.  I haven't posted anything in a long time on this site.  Hope all is well.
