which 32" tyres??
« on: May 06, 2007, 04:47:03 PM »
Howdy chaps...

I want new tyres... just asking what my options are really...

I've got some nice alloys 15x7/8ish" which i wanna stick with. I'm currently running a mate's 31"ers on steal rims for now with plenty of space left

I would like some 32" tyres - cant quite afford BFG ATs yet - which is what i really want....

Any cheaper copies out there at 32"?? I've seen plenty 31 and 33" cheapo replicas!

Also - 32" x 12.50" - would that be too wide for my rims?

Cheers chaps
Andy ;D

I would have to say Yes, they are to wide for a 7/8"inch rim.
I'm running 32/11.50 on a 15x8.

I know a guy runnin 32 BFG at on a 15x8 rim and it looks pretty decent. Id go with a 32 10.5 radial swamper though. They look great on a 15x8 ;D
A swamper is a AT right? ;)

My brother runs a 32x10.5 super swamper on a 15x8 rim.  It looks pretty good and you can run them at 0 psi and not have to worry about throwin a bead off  ;D

Hard to pass up a super swamper too, there pretty cheap....
And even cheaper if you run a bias swamper.  Im thinking about going in that direction, might have to deal with flat spots i the tires for a couple miles ;D

Ha! I'll buy bfg's at that price!

The reason i want all terrains is... at the mo i'm borrowing some MTs and i find in very soft sand (which i drive over alot being on an island!), they dig in alot, as apposed to my old roady tyres, which flew over sand, even the softest or wetest stuff!

I'm considering getting a set of the tyres im using (cheap MTs) just because they're only £50 a tyre fitted! 10.5inch wide too... so not too bad

Just seems like 32" is a rarer size :S

Who makes a cheap or remould copy of the BFG AT tyre? any at 32"s??

Cheers for the help so far guys :)

32 isn't a very common size over here unless you go to 16" rims and then you can go to a  235/85/16 which is 32" depending on manufacturer and rim width. £50 a tyre fitted - is that Colways? I ran some of them originally, 215R15s, very good tyres for he money but very noisy and a limited life. The BFGs last about 3 times longer and have much better road manners.

tires are key to offroading, you don't want crappy tires!  if you have to wait an extra month or two to do it right you'll be happier in the long run.

righteeooooo....

i want these tyres... Kumho KL71, mt tyre, but little noise on the road :)

But... my only tyre dealer on the island doesnt do them, only the normal MTs which are priced stupidly high...  >:(

Now i'm just desperate to get my wagon back on the road so any, i've got a garage that'll fit me tyres pretty miuch free, so where the hell can i buy 4x4 tyres mail order sent to the UK???? Any recommendations...

Another simple Q - Will i get 32x15x11.50 tyres on my 15x7inch rims?? Sounds silly, BUT, big BUT, i have already been using 31x15x10.50 on 6inch wide steel wheels recently.... :S

Cheers guys
