Wheeling in NW Washington

Hey, there is a pretty big group of us up north here in WA and we go wheeling just about every sunday on Sumas Mountain, we've made a whole bunch of trails throughout and its always a good time. Also, there is Walker Valley in Sedro Woolley, it is more like an ORV park and has different levels of trails.

Maybe you should post up on the canada boards too, since you're so close to the border.  Do you ever get down closer to Everett - specifically Reiter?

Hey MariaLynne.  I store my Zuki over in Bow down on the flats.  :P  I'm pretty sure I haven't run north of Walker since they closed down North Fork...

good to hear there are a few others around. I just bought my first Samurai this last weekend, and live in whatcom county. I ordered some fender flares and some other taillight and stuff the other day so I can drive down the road, hopefully they'll be here this week. Hope to run into you guys sometime!

Head down to Reiter on Sunday, one of the Annual Trash Cleanups is going on.  I'll have my Tracker, so if you wanted to hit some stocker runs I would be willing.  :)

Where are the Jeep races at?  I haven't hit the NW-Wheelers forum in a while with all the travel so I'm a bit out of the loop.

Wazuks will be over at Liberty for Memorial Day weekend - everyone is welcome to join us.  Liberty is about 10 miles north of Cle Elum on Hwy 97.  There are tons of trails up there; you could probably spend a week there and not run them all.  I'll bring my Samurai to run the harder stuff, and if the weather is decent I'll bring one of the LJ10's.  Details are on the calendar at www.wazuks.com, and you can see pics of prior runs in the wazuks.com forums.  If you do plan to go, please let myself or one of the other members know so we can keep an eye out for you!

We've also talked about a run up to Walker Valley this summer, as we haven't been up there (as a club) in a couple of years.  I've never heard about wheeling around Sumas Mountain.

Just a quick heads up for those in the NW Washington area.  We are planning a night run at Walker Friday night, probably meet up in the main lot around 8 or so.  Probably do a run on Saturday morning as well.

Only a couple pictures up, but we went out the weekend before last.  :)  http://picasaweb.google.com/CrawlersNW/WalkerValleyMay07

The Reiter Trail Watch is putting on a Newbie Run on Saturday morning at 9:00 am for those who are just getting into the sport.  It's a bit of a drive for you, but might be worth it to try things out.

Some quick shots from the Newbie run at Reiter.  More are available via the NW Wheelers board.

Going out again this Saturday at Reiter, and again on the 30th.  Then a small break before Rim Rock.  :)

We post most of our future runs on our board if anyone wants to join up some time.
