how do the air horns work?

You can hear those things inside a Semi Truck
at 65 MPH, I'd say they work good, better than
the stock beepers that you can't hear inside your
Trucklet at 55 MPH

WOW!! What a difference the intake makes on the top end. When I leave work I have to turn onto the highway with no merge lane...so I floor it through the gears to get up to speed....normally the thing starts to run out of steam a little past 5K rpm...now, 6K and its still pulling ;D An added bonus is the induction roar along with the full exhaust its just shy of orgasmic :o I don't think fuel mileage has increased all that much but it did seem to be a bit better, maybe saved a litre or so...but man that top end performance is worth it. I was able to accelerate up a couple of steepish hills in 5th!! (It used to just bog down and lose a couple mph on these hills) Now I'm just panting for the rebuilt to be finished...with the Calmini cam, slight plane, port and polish this thing oughta be just fine :)

http://www.puresuzuki.com/air_intake_system.htm o was thinkin of somehting liek that but i think i coudl probly make one like yours looks pretty cool cuz the way i understand if it can pull cold air it will get more power? im thinkin that it could pull the cold air through the holes where it leaves by the strut tower things, would this work?

my lug nuts require more torque then my engine makes ;)

Yeah I was asking Chris at Calmini about that intake...he said they would be taking pre-orders in December (I asked in October). It looks to be a good piece and I'd be interested to hear about how it performs.

This is the pic of the one I bought from ebay, they had it mounted pointing down toward the back...I suppose to get air from the original air inlet.  I decided to mount mine facing forward as a lot of air gets through the gap between the hood and fender. Maybe in Spring I'll fab up a box around it and install a hood scoop to feed the air

These intakes are selling on ebay for about $33 CDN right now...

I should have some time this aft to get those measurements for you.

You can save some expense by just ordering a K&N that will attach right to the end of the intake. Cost me about $35 Canadian.  Good power gains with premium fuel and some timing tweaking.  Setup didnt like hot weather though...  Oh well..
93 Sidekick 2Dr.  2"body lift.  30" Tires. 1.5" Coil spacers. 4 door coils. 2"strut spacers. K&N Factory replacement filter. 2.25" Cat back, with glass pack.  Custom ground High torque Cam shaft. And CB for talkin trash.
