Best 89 Sidekick 4.5" Lift?
« on: October 29, 2007, 01:51:02 PM »
Trying to decide which route to go; The Rock-Steady 4.5" Combo kit from Rocky Road Outfitters or the 2.5" Suspension System from Rocky Road Outfitters plus the 2" Suzuki Sidekick Body Lift from Sky Manufacturing?

Anyone with the Rocky Road 2.5" Suspension System care to comment on it?

Is Sky's body lift really better then Rock Road's?

I just installed the RRO 4.5" Rock Steady lift. Their 2" body lift was easy to install and looks just like Sky Manufacturing  As far as I  know they use Sky Manufacturing kit. Complete instructions can be found at Suspension

If you want to try something ZukiNation has that new 4.5 out now.  Might be fun to try and post pictures of for the rest of us.  :D

I was checking out Zukinations prices - $900 for springs and a few spacers? Seems a little pricy. The Calmini kit is a way better deal for $900. The 4.5" kit is also pricy but there is nothing else to compare it to yet. We will have to see what Rocky Road has in the works with their new kit.

I used my 2" spacers and a Masterkit1 3" body lift to do mine. The whole thing with new rear shocks ran me under $200. I love the way it looks and is pretty capable on the trail. The body lift came with everything including the bumper relocater brackets.
