Windshield Washer
« on: July 02, 2008, 07:07:18 PM »
I have a 91 SJ410 and am trying to get the windshield washer to work. I have the pump working and fluid trying to move thought the line but it seems like the nozzle unit at the windshield is plugged.
I cleaned the orifices with a welding tip cleaner and tried to blow air back through the unit and it will still will not work.
How do I get to the backside of the nozzle unit to remove it?
I can see where the hose comes through the firewall but can not get to the unit.
Does anyone have any simple tips to remove this so I can clean it?
Thanks

Fold the windshield forward, and you can unscrew the nozzle from behind and clean it if neccesary.

Check the hose at the same time, I've seen people get it wedged between the body and windshield frame so it became flat and blocked.

Thank you, that worked great. I was also able to fix a couple other some items while I was in there.
