'Does anybody know if lj80 third members would bolt into an 88 samurai?  I have a complete lj80 and would like lower gears in my samurai.  Is it possible?  Thanks

Nope, you can't.  You can however get the gears from the front of a Tracker and put them in.

Thanks, I just thought since I have the lj80 already, it wouldn't cost me anything.  Will probably look for lower transfer case gears instead.  Thanks again.

Yea, I checked the same thing with my old SJ-410 diffs when I switched to Samurai axles.  :)
