Seized 1.3 8v engine block
« on: October 05, 2008, 04:40:29 PM »
This is for a 1.3L 8v Sami engine block. We have a crankcase with trashed pistons/piston rings, and a good crankshaft. Also have cylinder head with trashed gasket and valves but a good camshaft, rocker arms and valve springs. Block was seized; pistons and valves are rusty. Is it worth it to clean it all up and rebuild the block? Or should we just part it out? Which parts are worth rescuing? Thanks for any advice.

just a thought.
wonder what "seized" in it.
seems to me that if the block is not cracked or over bored(i guess sleeving is an option), then it's rebuildable.
probably work over the head also?
suck water into it? that might tweak con.rods.
mabe.
