what do people think of the idea of a 2.2l ecotec motor in a track kick?

I would think this motor could be pretty easy to fit and since it's in the soltice/sky it can be set up for RWD.  I'm suprised no after market company that has made an adaptor plate for the tranny.  I think this would be the perfect engine swap for any track kick.

I would put the 2.5 v6 out of a xl-7 in it. I think it bolts directly to the tracker transmission. You might have to make up your own motor mounts, and will have to rewire, but they make plenty of power

There was a swap kit at my local yard out of a solstice, they wanted something like $6K for it

No, the 2.5 GV and the 2.7 XL7 engines do not bolt to the sidekick/tracker transmission. The only V6 bolt together option is 2.5GV w/auto transmission this will bolt to a sidekick/tracker t-case and will have the correct spline count so that one can use crawler gears with their combo.
