« on: March 04, 2009, 10:00:50 AM »
Does anyone have pics of a stock sammy with 235 75 tires on it? I have an 87 and want to see what these tires will look like. Thanks

You can fender trim, and get away with no lift at all. Lower COG - less $$$....

yeah Ballenxj has a pic running 235 75's with a stock sammy. I PM'd him and he said he trimmed back the bumper a bit, but other than that he said he had no problems. I am picking up a set of BFG AT on friday. they have 80% tred left, are wrapped around a set of toyota wheels. He wants $250 for everything. I am going to do it and sell the toy wheels, and the street tires on my sammy right now and hope to break even or at least close.. Know anyone looking for a set of 205's

Not a great pic, but all I got access to at the moment.  235/75/15s on the Sami w no lift.  He would have rubbed the front bumper if he was still running it.  He flattened the seam that runs along the inside of the wheel well.  Tires still rubbed on the front when turning full lock, and occasionally on the rear when flexing but he ran that way for a few years I think.

So hear are some pics of my stock Samurai now rolling on 235-75-15. I trimmed the ends of the bumper a bit and no rub. I got to excited to take pics of it clean, only after I got it muddy. Hope this helps some people.

Before tires 235/75 was sitting on 205/70

Yes that would be nice!!! So coming from only really off-roading a Jeep Cherokee with a 3" lift, So far I am extremely impressed with the zuki's capability. Can't wait to get it on the trail!!!

Looks good! They should have came like that stock!  Looks like you gained a little more ground clearance too.

Yeah it defiantly sits higher. I took it out on the Motocross track by my house (only "trail" I can get to due to snow) and took it around most of the track and never drug the bottom. I did this with a Rhino, and it was dragging bottom and couldn't get around hardly any of the track. Not a bad rig said and done I got maybe $1100 in it right now, vehicle included in that.
