i hear ya on the power, i have a sidekick on 37's dual tcase , witch is great offroad, but no highrage reduction for the street, so i have a 2.5 v6 going in this winter if all goes well.

I trimmed my fender flares all around and and now all that's holding them on is the white clips. I'm most likely going to have to rivet the flares on from the inside of the fender to keep them on, but other than that, no problems. I'll take some pics tomorrow of the enlarged fender opening. Funny thing is that running 31's with a 1 inch spring spacer and a 2 inch body lift, I'm still rubbing the firewall with tires when turning, and I have 1" spidertrack spacers all around. Looks like I'll have to give the firewall a few well placed hits with the sledge.

its not a hard engine to figure out, i was able to cut the harness down to just engine managment, and ran it on my shop floor on 2 wood blocks

yup, thats what i had to do was well, its just sheet metal, no big deal, pretty tough in spots tho hahaha

Ha yeah a sledge hammer and a plasma cutter help out alot, haha.
I have done many swaps in Honda's, but non in a Suzuki yet! Maybe this summer, or just a 50 shot of nos. lol.

thats a 31inch or 245 i take it?, trimming looks good, i like the colour, post a pic of the whole thing ;D

It's actually a 265/70/16. I have a couple pics of the whole thing in my other thread: 3" lift running 265/70/16's

Took me a few minutes to find this thread again.  Just wanted to thank sir lance and 2K1USGV for the pics of their fender and bumper trimming.  Had some minor rubbing issues mounting up the new 31's post-body lift, and thanks to your pics, I new what to trim w/ some degree of confidence.  Plenty of clearance on top; just not enough at the bottom corners.  It should be out of the shop on Monday.  I'm having the tailgate broken down and reinforced to take the extra weight of the 31" spare.  I'm usually bad at posting pics, but it looks too good not to.  Stay tuned. ;D

hahaha no problem....glad i could help, and for what its worth....i had a 31" spare on my old GV, and it JUST cleared the top of the rear bumper when shutting the door, so if your doing work to the back gate anyway, see if you can raise up the carrier a bit, or at least modify the tire mount surface up so you can fit a larger tire.

You can slot the holes on the rear carrier, and move the mount up 3/4".  That's what I did.
