I counted the gears on one of my extra scout r&p's last night and they are 4.27's Ive owned 9 early scouts over the years and they all had the same gearing.  I would imagine that finding other gears for a dana 25 would be next to impossible.

Well you could always play with tire sizes to match the gearing front to rear <ducking for cover>   ;) ;D

  Well thanks for all the information, and I'm still thinking about doing the conversion. However the wife caught me looking into it an put her foot down. (something to do with the half finished extension on the home).
  So it looks like it'll have to wait for a while.  Thanks again for all the imput, I learned a lot. Hope to put it to use soon.
